About Course
About AWS Networking
Thiruvananthapuram's Technopark is anchored by large IT services accounts and a growing space and defence supply chain. Both require formal platform governance: defence suppliers face customer security requirements on where workloads may run, and the services accounts run their parent's AWS programmes from here.
Public-sector and research institutions add a further layer, since their documentation and reporting standards are exacting and their residency requirements are not negotiable.
This Thiruvananthapuram page carries the same 12-week, 72-hour AWS Networking syllabus, faculty and assessment as the master programme, delivered live online and in hybrid format, with classroom batches at our Thoraipakkam centre.
Course Overview
12-week AWS Networking training (72 hours) covering VPC design, routing, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Route 53, load balancing and network security. Live online and classroom.
Why Learn AWS Networking
Defence and space suppliers around Technopark face customer requirements on workload location that need documented platform governance, not just certification.
Large IT services accounts run their parent company's AWS programmes from Technopark, giving engineers group-level exposure.
Research and academic institutions handle data under exacting documentation standards, a steady source of platform governance work.

Who Should Join This Course
- Network Engineers — Extending on-premise routing and connectivity skills to cloud
- System Administrators — Owning VPC setup as part of a wider operations role
- Infrastructure Engineers — Taking on hybrid connectivity design
- Fresh Graduates — Targeting network specialism as a first role
- NOC Staff — Progressing from monitoring into design and build
- Consultants — Designing connectivity for client estates
Prerequisites
No prior AWS experience required unless the course page states otherwise. Basic IT familiarity, comfort with a web console and command-line basics are enough to start; AWS itself, its vocabulary and its operating discipline are taught from first principles.
Learning Objectives
- Design VPC networks, subnets and routing that survive a zone failure
- Control egress, ingress and the traffic paths in and out of a VPC
- Build hybrid connectivity with Direct Connect and VPN with failover
- Connect many VPCs with Transit Gateway and a deliberate route domain
- Design DNS and edge delivery with Route 53 and CloudFront
- Operate load balancing with health checks that mean something
- Apply network security controls without blocking delivery
- Diagnose a network fault from flow logs and route tables, not guesswork
AWS Services and Tools Covered
AWS Direct Connect, Amazon Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon CloudFront, AWS Transit Gateway, Amazon VPC together with flow-log forensics, route analysis method, and the DPDP and ISO 27001 obligations that constrain where traffic may travel.
Career Opportunities After This Programme
- Cloud Network Engineer
- Network Architect (AWS)
- Connectivity Engineer
- Infrastructure Engineer
- Hybrid Cloud Engineer
- NOC Engineer (Cloud)
Hands-on Practice and Capstone
Capstone: Design and build the network for a two-region estate: plan CIDR allocation across accounts so nothing collides, build VPCs, subnet tiers and routing, connect on-premise with Direct Connect and a VPN failover you actually test, interconnect the VPCs through Transit Gateway with a written route domain, set up DNS, edge delivery and load balancing with health checks that mean something, then diagnose and fix an injected fault using nothing but flow logs and route tables.
Production scenario: An application cannot reach its database after a subnet change and the team has been restarting instances to no effect. Establish from route tables, network ACLs and flow logs exactly which hop is dropping the traffic, correct the configuration, and document the check that would have caught it before the change window closed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is AWS Networking training at SkilBrill?
It is the networking specialism on AWS: VPC design, routing and egress, hybrid connectivity with Direct Connect and VPN, Transit Gateway, DNS and edge delivery, load balancing and network security. SkilBrill runs it over 12 weeks and 72 hours and finishes with a multi-region network and a diagnosed fault.
How is this different from AWS Cloud Architecture?
Cloud Architecture covers the whole system design — compute, data, security and cost. This course goes deep on the network layer only, which is where most outages and most migration problems actually originate.
How is this different from the AWS Advanced Networking Specialty course?
That course is organised around the ANS exam objectives and its practice tests. This one is organised around building and troubleshooting a real network — no exam code in the title, and the assessment is a network you build and a fault you diagnose.
Do I need existing networking experience?
Basic networking helps a great deal: subnets, routing, DNS and TLS. If you are coming from a systems administration background the first module brings you up to the level the rest of the course assumes, but total beginners will find the pace fast.
What is the duration and fee?
12 weeks, three sessions a week of two hours each, totalling 72 classroom hours. Fees are ₹45,000 – ₹75,000 depending on batch and mode.
What jobs can I get after AWS Networking?
Cloud network engineer, network architect, connectivity engineer, hybrid cloud engineer and infrastructure engineer. In India these typically start at ₹6–18 LPA, with architecture and consulting roles above the band for candidates who have delivered real connectivity projects.
Is classroom training available in Trivandrum?
No. SkilBrill's classroom runs only in Chennai. Learners in Trivandrum join the same live online / hybrid cohort taught by the Chennai faculty, with proctored labs and the same placement support.
Which companies hire for these skills in Trivandrum?
Learners in Trivandrum typically target a mix of MNCs and startups such as TCS, Infosys, UST Global. The programme's placement support applies equally to Trivandrum learners.
