Question 1

What does the Dynamics 365 Business Central course cover?

Accepted Answer

The course follows the four domains Microsoft publishes for MB-800: set up Business Central (20 to 25 percent), configure financials (30 to 35 percent), configure sales and purchasing (10 to 15 percent) and perform Business Central operations (30 to 35 percent). Eight modules work through company creation and dimensions, the ledger and posting groups, sales and purchasing, inventory and fixed assets, role centres and extensions, integration and Copilot, day to day operations, and a go-live capstone.

Question 2

How is this different from the Power Platform Functional Consultant course?

Accepted Answer

The Power Platform Functional Consultant course prepares you for PL-200: building applications on Dataverse and automating tasks with Power Automate. This course prepares you for MB-800, which configures a complete accounting and operations application for a small or medium business: company setup, chart of accounts, posting groups, sales and purchasing, role centres and extensions. One builds a custom app, the other configures and runs an ERP product for a named company.

Question 3

Is MB-800 the only exam needed for this certification?

Accepted Answer

Yes. MB-800 is a standalone exam for the Business Central Functional Consultant Associate credential, with no core paper underneath it and no companion exam to pass first. It runs 100 minutes, is proctored and sits at intermediate level with roughly 40 to 60 scenario questions. Unlike the Finance and Supply Chain credentials, there is no MB-300 foundation paper to add to your plan.

Question 4

Do I need ERP experience to start?

Accepted Answer

No. The exam assumes you can implement core application setup for a small or medium business, and many candidates arrive from finance or from Microsoft 365 administration. You need to read a business process and write down what the system should do, not to write code. Extensions are covered as configuration decisions: choosing between a page customisation, an extension and a report change.

Question 5

What work does this qualification lead to?

Accepted Answer

Business Central implementation and support work with small and medium businesses: company creation, chart of accounts and VAT or GST set-up, sales and purchasing configuration, role centres for the finance team, and go-live support. In India the titles are business central functional consultant, ERP implementation consultant and finance systems analyst, and the salary band runs between Rs 7 and 17 lakh a year.

Question 6

What is the duration and fee?

Accepted Answer

Twelve weeks, three sessions a week of two hours each, totalling 72 hours, with a Business Central sandbox used for the posting and go-live work. Fees run from Rs 45,000 to Rs 75,000 depending on batch and mode, with classroom, live online and hybrid options and placement support through 200+ hiring partners. The sandbox runs locally, so no subscription is needed for any lab in the course.

Question 7

What certificate do I receive?

Accepted Answer

A SkilBrill Course Completion Certificate for the full 72 hours of the programme, listing the modules completed and the go-live configuration you submitted. The Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate credential is issued by Microsoft after you pass MB-800. We prepare you for the exam and mark your project work; we do not issue the vendor credential.
