Question 1

What does the Dynamics 365 Finance course cover?

Accepted Answer

The course follows the five domains Microsoft publishes for MB-310: financial management (35 to 40 percent), accounts receivable with credit and collections (15 to 20 percent), accounts payable and expenses (10 to 15 percent), budgeting (10 to 15 percent) and fixed assets (10 to 15 percent). Eight modules cover the chart of accounts and dimensions, ledgers and journals, payables, receivables, tax and costing, budgets and reporting, the period close, and a capstone close on a live set of books.

Question 2

How is this different from the Power Platform Functional Consultant course?

Accepted Answer

The Power Platform Functional Consultant course prepares you for PL-200, which sits on Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse and builds small applications and flows for a team. This course prepares you for MB-310, the Dynamics 365 Finance exam, and it is about the accounting engine itself: chart of accounts, financial dimensions, ledgers, journals, tax settlement, costing and the period close. Power BI appears here only as a reporting consumer.

Question 3

Do I need MB-300 as well as MB-310?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and that is the structure Microsoft set for this credential. MB-310 is the role specific paper, and it sits on the core Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations exam MB-300. The MB-300 content, the shared platform and the Finance core that every configuration in this course runs on, is the foundation the MB-310 exam builds on. Plan for MB-300 first or alongside it.

Question 4

Do I need to be an accountant to take this course?

Accepted Answer

You need a grasp of double entry accounting: what a debit and a credit do, how a ledger differs from a bank statement, and why a period has to close. You do not need to be a qualified accountant. Consultants from audit, tax or accounts work usually move fastest, and the first module turns accounting policy into chart of accounts design rather than repeating bookkeeping.

Question 5

What work does this qualification lead to?

Accepted Answer

Finance functional consultant work on Dynamics 365 Finance implementations: chart of accounts design, ledgers and dimensions, payables and receivables set-up, tax configuration, cost accounting, budgeting and the period close. Common titles are dynamics 365 finance consultant, ERP finance consultant and cost accounting analyst. The salary band for a mid-level consultant runs between Rs 9 and 22 lakh a year in India.

Question 6

What is the duration and fee?

Accepted Answer

Twelve weeks, three sessions a week of two hours each, totalling 72 hours, with a finance sandbox used through the ledger, tax and close modules. Fees run from Rs 55,000 to Rs 85,000 depending on batch and mode, with classroom, live online and hybrid options and placement support through 200+ hiring partners. The capstone is a full month end close, so that practice time is scheduled inside the twelve weeks.

Question 7

What certificate do I receive?

Accepted Answer

A SkilBrill Course Completion Certificate for the full 72 hours of the programme, listing the modules completed and the close pack you produced. The Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate credential is issued by Microsoft after you pass MB-300 and MB-310. We prepare you for the exams and mark your project work; we do not issue the vendor credential.
