Question 1

What is IIBA business analysis certification training at SkilBrill?

Accepted Answer

It is preparation for the International Institute of Business Analysis certification programme: the ECBA entry certificate, the CCBA for practitioners with two to three years, the CBAP for seasoned analysts and the agile-focused IIBA-AAC. The course is organised around the six BABOK knowledge areas, the CBOK behind them, the application process and the exam, over 12 weeks and 72 hours.

Question 2

How is this different from the business analysis certification course on this site?

Accepted Answer

This course is about IIBA as a certification body: its three levels, the eligibility rules for each, the six BABOK knowledge areas, the application with work history and references, and the recertification cycle. The other course is about the wider market, comparing IIBA, BCS and PMI against entry-level certificates, and about the analyst craft itself. Pick this one if your credential will be an IIBA one.

Question 3

Which IIBA level should I take?

Accepted Answer

If you have no business analysis record, start with the ECBA, which has no eligibility requirement, never expires and needs no recertification. If you have two to three years of work, the CCBA fits, and it needs 3,750 hours of business analysis experience, 21 professional development hours and two references. The IIBA-AAC is the agile-focused path.

Question 4

What does IIBA actually certify?

Accepted Answer

IIBA certifies demonstrated capability in business analysis, evidenced by work experience recorded against the BABOK knowledge areas, professional development hours, references and a passed exam. It does not certify a job title, a tool skill, a delivery method or the outcome of a project. It also does not certify agile tooling competence, which is what employers usually mean by an agile analyst.

Question 5

What does the BABOK syllabus cover?

Accepted Answer

Six knowledge areas: business analysis planning and monitoring, elicitation and collaboration, requirements life cycle management, strategy analysis, requirements analysis and design definition, and solution evaluation. Underneath them sit the underlying competencies, the techniques and the business analysis perspectives that change how each area is applied in your own organisation.

Question 6

What is the duration and fee?

Accepted Answer

Twelve weeks, three sessions a week of two hours each, totalling 72 hours, with the mock exam and the application workshop scheduled inside the course. Fees run from Rs 45,000 depending on batch and mode, with classroom, live online and hybrid options and placement support through 200+ hiring partners.

Question 7

What certificate do I receive?

Accepted Answer

A SkilBrill Course Completion Certificate for the full 72 hours of the programme. The ECBA, CCBA and CBAP credentials are issued by IIBA after you pass the exam and, for the CCBA, after your application is approved. SkilBrill prepares you for that exam and application; it does not issue the credential.
