Question 1

What is the Nutanix training course?

Accepted Answer

It is a 12-week, 72-hour programme on the Nutanix platform, built around the NCA v6.10 exam objectives. You work on a laboratory cluster: deploying virtual machines on AHV, administering Prism Central, designing storage on the distributed storage fabric, segmenting the network with Flow, and planning availability with protection domains and Metro Availability. It closes with a working cluster capstone and timed NCA practice papers, with the vendor exam fee paid separately to Nutanix.

Question 2

How is this different from the general cloud computing course and from AWS or Azure training?

Accepted Answer

The cloud computing course teaches the shared ideas behind cloud platforms: regions, elasticity, shared responsibility and cost models, without one vendor product. This course is hands-on with one platform: the hyperconverged cluster, the storage fabric and the private-cloud operating model. It is the opposite of AWS or Azure training, which are public-cloud service courses; Nutanix is what a datacentre or an enterprise campus runs on its own hardware, a different set of jobs.

Question 3

Do I need Nutanix experience or my own hardware to take this course?

Accepted Answer

No experience is needed and you do not need hardware. The platform is taught from its architecture upwards, and every lab runs on a cluster the institute provides in the session, so you deploy, break and rebuild it as often as the syllabus needs. You should be comfortable with virtual machines, Linux or Windows administration, and basic network segmentation, because those ideas are used from the first module.

Question 4

What is the difference between NCA, NCP and the certification this course prepares?

Accepted Answer

The Nutanix Certified Associate is the entry credential: it proves you can operate the platform day to day, which is what most administrator job descriptions ask for. The Nutanix Certified Professional tracks add depth in areas such as multicloud infrastructure, and the Nutanix Certified Master sits at the top of the ladder. This course is built on the NCA v6.10 objectives, so it suits a first Nutanix role and the administrator track.

Question 5

Is a laboratory cluster really provided for every student?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The middle modules of the course depend on it: storage behaviour, microsegmentation and failover cannot be taught from slides. You get console access to a cluster during the session, and the labs are written so that a failed task teaches as much as a successful one, because the labs deliberately include a misconfigured storage pool and a broken connectivity rule.

Question 6

Who hires Nutanix administrators and platform engineers in India?

Accepted Answer

System integrators and infrastructure consultancies build and run converged estates for mid-market and enterprise customers, enterprise datacentre teams own the platform directly, and service providers run private cloud for their clients. The roles are usually Nutanix Administrator, HCI Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer or Platform Engineer, and employers hire on evidence of hands-on cluster administration rather than on the certificate alone.

Question 7

What is the fee and how are batches run?

Accepted Answer

The programme fee is ₹18,000 – ₹75,000 depending on the batch and mode, and the Nutanix exam fee is paid to the vendor separately. It runs 12 weeks with three sessions a week of two hours, in classroom, live online or hybrid mode, with weekday, weekend and evening batches. Enquire on +91 8610964691 for the next batch date.
