About Course
About Oracle Database Administration Training (OCP)
The National Capital Region outside the capital runs corporate data estates. Multinationals in Gurugram and Noida run group data platforms, finance operations centres and product analytics teams with reporting lines to a parent in another country. Semiconductor and electronics operations add supply-chain, yield and equipment data, and IT services delivery centres build and maintain the pipelines their clients depend on, often under a contract that specifies uptime and support hours.
For candidates this is the corporate data market of the region, and it is different from the one inside the city proper. Product analytics teams want experimentation platforms and metric definitions that survive a disagreement. Operations centres want reporting that reconciles to a client's books, and delivery centres want engineers who can work inside a client's own governance without a large in-house platform team.
This Delhi NCR page carries the same 12-week, 72-hour Oracle Database Administration Training (OCP) syllabus, faculty and assessment as the master programme, delivered live online and in hybrid format, with classroom batches at our Thoraipakkam centre.
Course Overview
12-week Oracle Database Administration and OCP training (72 hours) on 19c internals, PL/SQL, RMAN recovery, Data Guard standby, tuning and exam practice.
Why Learn Oracle Database Administration Training (OCP)
Group platforms here enforce one metric definition across many countries, and a candidate who has argued that argument with documentation wins the role.
Semiconductor supply chains generate traceability data with export obligations, and engineers who have built that record trail are in short supply here.
Delivery centres in Noida are measured on contract terms, so a candidate who can point to a documented incident process is hired ahead of a generalist.

Who Should Join This Course
- Support Engineers and Junior DBAs — Owning instance health, backup and recovery without waiting for a senior
- SQL and PL/SQL Developers — Turning application code skills into administration and tuning work
- Migration and Upgrade Project Members — Moving estates to 19c without an outage nobody planned for
- Data Platform Engineers — Sizing memory, redo and storage against a real workload profile
- Fresh Graduate Trainees — Entering enterprise database work through the Oracle certification path
- Existing OCA Holders — Completing the second exam that turns an associate into a professional
Prerequisites
You should be comfortable with SQL queries and relational concepts, and you need access to an Oracle Database instance for the practice work. Oracle certification tracks have no blanket experience requirement, but the track itself assumes you can already read a query plan.
Learning Objectives
- Read instance, memory and storage structures from the Oracle data dictionary
- Create, resize and move tablespaces, datafiles and segments safely
- Write PL/SQL blocks, packages and cursors that carry out administration work
- Read an execution plan and defend the indexing decision behind it
- Run RMAN full, incremental and archive backups and a point-in-time recovery
- Configure a Data Guard standby database and fail it over under pressure
- Apply patches, plan an upgrade and manage pluggable databases on 19c
- Answer timed practice papers built from the 1Z0-082 and 1Z0-083 objectives
Certification Objectives Covered
The syllabus follows the published Oracle Database and OCP objectives: Oracle Database 19c, PL/SQL, Recovery Manager (RMAN), Data Guard, SQL Tuning Advisor, Automatic Diagnostic Repository, and the objective-to-topic map for the exam, the timed practice papers and the exam-day plan.
Career Opportunities After This Programme
- Oracle Database Administrator
- Database Reliability Engineer
- Data Platform Engineer
- SQL and PL/SQL Developer
- Database Migration Engineer
- Performance Tuning Specialist
Hands-on Practice and Capstone
Capstone: You are handed a 19c instance with no users, no tablespaces and no backup policy. Create the storage, the schema and the scheduled job, load the sample data, size the indexes to the workload, take a full and an incremental RMAN backup, then drop a production table by mistake and recover to the minute before it happened. You finish by building a standby database, switching over, failing over, and writing the runbook your on-call colleague will use at 2am.
Production scenario: A batch job failed at 3am, the instance was restarted in the wrong order, and the business wants the missing rows recovered before the morning report. Decide what you inspect first, which backup you restore, how far back you point in time, and what you tell the business about the data that was never committed.
Course Duration, Mode and Certification
The course runs for 12 weeks (72 hours), three sessions a week of two hours each. Modes: Classroom / Live Online / Hybrid. Certificate issued: SkilBrill Course Completion Certificate. This programme prepares you for the Oracle Database and OCP exam, which is booked and paid for with the vendor separately from the course fee.
Is classroom training available in Delhi NCR? Classroom batches run at our Thoraipakkam centre in Chennai. Learners in Delhi NCR join the same live online or hybrid cohort taught by the same faculty, with the same assessment and placement support.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Oracle Database Administration course cover?
The course follows the two Oracle University papers that make up the professional database administrator credential: Administration I (1Z0-082) and Administration II (1Z0-083). Eight modules take you through instance and storage architecture, PL/SQL for administration, index and optimizer behaviour, RMAN backup and recovery, flashback, Data Guard standby databases, security, patching and upgrades, and end with timed practice papers scored by objective.
How is this different from the PostgreSQL course?
PostgreSQL is an open-source engine with write-ahead logging, vacuum and autovacuum, and the course on the site teaches that engine end to end. This course is the commercial Oracle path: multitenancy, RMAN, Data Guard, pluggable databases, the Oracle optimizer and the Oracle University objectives. The tools, the failure modes and the credential are different, and the two stacks rarely meet in the same organisation.
Do I need an Oracle instance to practise?
You need one to get real value from the labs, and the course is written on that assumption. A free Oracle Database 19c or 23ai install on your own machine, a lab VM or a cloud trial all work. We use SQL Developer, SQL*Plus and Enterprise Manager, and the recovery and Data Guard modules assume you can restart an instance, break it and bring it back. Reading alone will not carry you through the exam.
Which Oracle credential do I earn?
Passing 1Z0-082 and 1Z0-083 earns the Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional credential, commonly called the OCP for the 19c release. Oracle awards that certification, not SkilBrill. We issue a Course Completion Certificate for the full 72 hours of instruction, and the course also maps the specialist papers on performance tuning (1Z0-084) and Data Guard (1Z0-076) onto the same lab environment.
Is this course for developers or for administrators?
It is written for administrators and assumes you can read SQL comfortably. Developers often take it because application performance problems land on the administrator desk, and understanding execution plans, indexing and undo saves weeks of guessing. If SQL is new to you, start with a fundamentals SQL track or the PostgreSQL course first, then come back to this one.
What is the duration and fee?
Twelve weeks, three sessions a week of two hours each, totalling 72 hours, with lab work carried out alongside the sessions. Fees run from Rs 55,000 to Rs 85,000 depending on batch and mode, with classroom, live online and hybrid options and placement support through 200+ hiring partners. The band sits above the other data courses because this path needs a licensed lab environment and a heavier toolchain.
What certificate do I receive?
A SkilBrill Course Completion Certificate for the full 72 hours of the programme, listing the modules completed and the assessment work you submitted. The Oracle certification is issued by Oracle University after you pass the exams, and the professional title stays valid only while the certification is current. We prepare you for the exam and mark your lab work; we do not issue the vendor credential.
Is classroom training available in Delhi NCR?
No. SkilBrill's classroom runs only in Chennai. Learners in Delhi NCR join the same live online / hybrid cohort taught by the Chennai faculty, with proctored labs and the same placement support.
Which companies hire for these skills in Delhi NCR?
Learners in Delhi NCR typically target a mix of MNCs and startups such as HCL, TCS, Accenture, IBM. The programme's placement support applies equally to Delhi NCR learners.
