Question 1

What is PSM I training at SkilBrill?

Accepted Answer

It is preparation for the Scrum.org Professional ScrumMaster I assessment, a knowledge-proving exam that anyone can sit. The course covers the twelve principles of Scrum, the framework theory, self-managing teams, empiricism and the Definition of Done, then rehearses the assessment itself across 12 weeks and 72 hours.

Question 2

How is this different from the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) course?

Accepted Answer

Three things differ. The CSM is earned by attending an authorised course with the exam bundled, and it must be renewed every three years; PSM I is a separate paid exam, open to any candidate and never renewed. The CSM exam has 60 questions with a 70% pass mark; PSM I has 80 questions in 60 minutes and needs 85%. This course prepares you for PSM I.

Question 3

Who can sit the PSM I assessment?

Accepted Answer

Anyone. There is no prerequisite certification, no minimum experience and no requirement to attend a class. You can take the assessment without ever sitting in a training room, which is why this course is built around exam craft rather than attendance credit. Training helps, but passing the assessment is what earns the credential.

Question 4

What is the PSM I assessment like?

Accepted Answer

It is 80 questions in 60 minutes with a passing score of 85%, taken online with the Scrum Guide open in front of you. Questions are multiple choice, multiple answer and true or false, and they test application rather than recall: a team is described, a decision is in front of you, and you choose what a professional ScrumMaster would do. At 45 seconds a question, the clock is the real constraint.

Question 5

What does the PSM syllabus cover?

Accepted Answer

Eight modules: the assessment and what it costs to sit, the framework theory, the twelve principles one by one, the accountabilities and self-managing teams, events and artifacts in practice, empiricism and the Definition of Done, the professional ScrumMaster as a systems thinker, and a capstone built on a live team audit and a timed practice paper.

Question 6

What is the duration and fee?

Accepted Answer

Twelve weeks, three sessions a week of two hours each, totalling 72 hours, with the practice assessment scheduled inside the course. Fees run from Rs 35,000 depending on batch and mode, with classroom, live online and hybrid options. The Scrum.org exam fee is separate and paid directly to Scrum.org.

Question 7

What certificate do I receive?

Accepted Answer

A SkilBrill Course Completion Certificate for the full 72 hours of the programme. The PSM I credential is issued by Scrum.org after you pass the assessment, it does not expire, and it carries no renewal fee. SkilBrill prepares you for that assessment; it does not issue it.
